So I just finished 'Harry Potter and The Cursed Child'
I got the book on my kindle last night at midnight when I realized I wouldn't get my physical copy I ordered off Amazon till Monday bc...
Grrr
any way so I caved and just bought in on my kindle, read half of it last night and finished the other half this morning.
So here is your spoiler alert warning
Seriously turn back now if you don't want to be spoiled.
Ok no turning back now....ok and off topic but They just jumped from Goblet of Fire to Half Blood Prince on the Freeform HP birthday weekend marathon, whats up with that?
Ok...so out of 5 stars I give Harry Potter and The Cursed Child a 3.8
Don't get me wrong, I was super hyped for this, could not wait for more Harry Potter
but I felt like I was reading a fanfiction the whole time, and quiet honestly I'v read better fanfiction.
Over all it was predictable to me.

So here are just bullet points on my random thoughts.
Albus was sorted into Slytherin (which was a major win for Slytherin's every were), we actually were not the villains this time. But yeah, kinda predictable, with him worrying so much about it from the 19 years later scene in DH
Albus and Scorpius are bff's ....which was totally cute, I loved Scorpius, he was so opposite of young Draco and it was awesome.
Albus and Harry have a screwed up relationship, its really sad.
Hermionie is Minister of Magic. Loved that, go Hermionie
We see a lot more of the golden trio then I expected, and a lot of Draco too, that was awesome.
Mcgonagall and Hooch are still teaching, how old are they now 150 give or take a few? lol
Amos Diggory is in it, and blames Harry for Cedric's death and wants to bring him back( main plot for the story and how everything gets messed up) but like seriously Amos? Nothing good ever comes from trying to resurrect the dead.
Harry's scar starts hurting 22 years later, like WTF that was the last thing we were left with in DH his scar didn't hurt and all was well.
Then we got Delphi 'Diggory'...she was shady af from the get go.
Albus has the brilliant idea to go back in time to save Cedric.....great idea Albus...NOT.
They go back in time not once, but twice and screw everything up, that was kinda interesting to see, how 1 small detail changed everyones lives.
We see Snape for a little bit and that hit me right in the feels
Ok and then we have Delphi, who turns out to be Voldemort's daughter....so saw that coming, I saw this coming since DH, I knew there was no way that Voldemort didn't have a kid out there some where, and I predicted it was a daughter (which you can see by the HP dream cast I posted on youtube yearrsssssssss ago)
oh and Bellatrix is her mother, saw that one too.
In the end its Harry and the Trio, (with Draco) that save the day
Harry goes back to the time his parents are killed and just has to watch it bc he knows he can't meddle with time, also another 'full of feels' moment.
in the end Harry and Albus kinda make up and all is well in the world.
ok over all it was just ok. Felt very predictable, felt very short, bc it was a play you know? Read the entire thing in 2 hours.
I just feel like it could have went better. There were some good moments, but the whole Albus screwing things up, Voldemort has a daughter, and Harry saves the day just seems very typical
So has anyone else read it?
What did you think?

Why do books do this to me!!!!
So my last post here was about a book hang over...and its happening again.
I hateeeeeee this feeling with a passion!
I just finished 'A Court of Wings and Ruin' by Sarah J. Maas....it really just her books that give me the worst hangovers tbh
And now I'm stuck with 'what do I read now' question
and its not like I don't have options....
Both physically and digitally I have hundreds of books either purchaced or on my 'to read list'
but nothing sounds good after reading 'Court of Wings and Ruin'
ughhhhhhhhhhh
What do you guys do when you get like this? Do you even get like this or am I the only one? Am I broken?
Think I'm just going to p
Book Hangover
Hey Guys
Hows it going?
I'v had the worst book Hangover for like....10 months lol
Literally
It all began with 'Throne of Glass' in January.
Finished all the books that were released some time in February, and just could not find anything that was equal to it (in my mind any way).
Thankfully I had sequels to other books come out and that kept me busy for a while but finding new books hasn't been so easy.
which is crazy bc my goodreads 'to read' list is insane.
I read 'A Court of Thorns and Roses' and 'Mist and Fury'
and that only made it worse lol
Then 'Empire of Storms' came out and nowww I'm stuck again
Anyone else have this problem?

For the most part i liked and enjoyed it. But it did feel like a fanfiction. I would add 'at times' but that would make it biased as i am generally pretty lenient on that topic. Scorpius was awesome. Albus unfortunately less so, due to the fact that he made idiotic choices like going back TWICE and climbing out a MOVING TRAIN. (Actually the moving train scene was pretty cool if random. Never knew how badass the trolly lady was.)
The 'Voldemort-had-a-daughter' thew me off and I'm still recovering from it. I don't think i will ever fully recover from it unless JK Rowling confirms it as not cannon. I think it's out of character for Voldemort and the timing of the pregnancy/birth doesn't make sense. Although, i did see Bellatix being the mother or hooking up with Voldemort coming, thanks to A Very Potter Musical.
I thought Amos Diggory was somewhat out of character too, but I'm okay with that and rationalise it as him experiencing old age regrets.
I liked how we saw a nicer side to Draco and i not only actually like him more as an adult than when he was young i also liked him better than when Harry was being an idiot and being rather mean to Albus Severus Potter-his own son.
The other Alternate Universes intrigue me. Especially the one in which we see Snape. Can we have more on that one? i really want to see more of 'Rebel Nice-Guy Snape' and how he is almost (because he is still sarcastic) friendly with AU!Ron and AU!Hermione and possibly AU!Harry if he never revealed his secret feelings for Lily. Was it after AU!Harry died? Did AU!Dumbledore tell him to tell them that secret? Or tell him to be nice to them? Did AU!Ron and AU!Hermione just simply guess correctly (although if that were case surely he would be meaner than nicer)? Or did he just get so desperate and realised that after seeing the other Order members die he might as well be kind to the two remaining? So many questions were raised in that timeline...Also that moment when Scorpius told him about Albus Severus and the resulting actions was a major feels pull that could fall into the word of 'awesome'.
Overall i think it would have been better as prose fiction, that way we could see the first 3 years of Albus's time at Hogwarts and the slow drifting apart between him and everyone else particularly Harry. And get to see more of Rose, Hugo and Luna (seriously why wasn't she even mentioned) and Neville. Still want to see the play.
